LEGOLAND (CALIFORNIA 2015)

 

 My first tour upon arriving in the US was a 2 hour ride going to Oceanside San Diego.  I joined Kuya Brians family and some of his friends outing in this trip.  As per request by my nephew and nieces, we had to drop in Legoland.



 


The kids were ecstatic upon setting their feet in the said theme park.  They already had a plan of where to go and what rides to take on.  I know it was not their first time in Legoland but I couldn't help but smile on how they get amazed of their favorite characters made of lego blocks.

DESPEDIDA PARTY (Feb 2015)

Another opportunity to explore ..USA this time. In few days time I will be leaving for US. I have heard, read   everything and anything about this country and even heard first hand experiences how its like to live there, from some members of the family who are based in Ca.
Moving to another country could be an issue for some because of uncertainty of what its like in that place.  Fear of the unknown. We are unsure of what will happen and we are scared of that.  Could be exciting too because it could mean moving forward, new experiences and chances.

I have no issue relocating.  I always say.."things happen".  Good or bad we have no choice but to deal with it.  Having an open mind would be a great help in understanding the culture, the people of different races.  As for me this is a chance to be with the family, with my parents. This is the best time to serve and help them.  All the other reasons are secondary. So yea, I am migrating to the US and going to embrace what holds for me there.  And the motivation is  to be reunited with the family.



Few days ago, I was touched with the surprise despedida (farewell) party thrown by my cousins for me.  I was just home and cousins came over bringing food for the party.  Funny thing because all the utensils were stored in boxes already.  So I had to go out to buy just so we could eat.  The house was crowded, in one area there was a mahjong set, another area we played cards. There was karaoke too and the kids were in the room playing and watching tv.  Being with the family brings joy always. Now looking forward to be with the family I have in California.

BRETTS 46TH BIRTHDAY

We celebrated Bretts 46th birthday with a simple dinner in Taguig.  Ir was an intimate dinner with the family and the newest member Stevie, Divines month old baby.
Todd English food hall is located at the Premier Sky in SM Aura.  Luckily we have a reservation and did not go through the queue at their waiting area.  The enormous size of the place impressed me as we make an entrance.  I noticed too the different food stations which I later found out were actually open kitchens and each has something to offer.  Everything is in the menu, there is wide selection from appetizers to desserts. I am a pizza and bread person so I am leaning towards their kitchen as my favorite.  But who would not? With that  red oven, really brings character to the overall look of the hall.  Of course the food from their kitchen were my pick too. I recommend their flat breads they were just so good! Actually, everything we ordered were good from the salad to my fave flat breads to some steak and cakes for dessert. The giant Ferris wheel  with colorful macaroons  is cute.  Somehow got my curiosity to check on it.
