Start off with a city exploration, a drive around the city landmarks like Esplanade, Padang, Supreme Court, City Hall and War Memorial.

And just when you think you've seen it all, there's more. It's time for "Splashdown" in the waters of Marina Bay for a breathtaking view of the Merlion, Singapore River, the iconic Marina Bay Sands, view Esplanade Theatres on the Bay and Singapore skylines, the kind of view you just won't get anywhere else.

The Fountain of Wealth (Chinese: 财富之泉) is listed by the Guinness Book of Records in 1998 as the largest fountain in the world.[1] It is located in one of Singapore's largest shopping malls, Suntec City. During certain periods of the day, the fountain is turned off and visitors are invited to walk around a mini fountain at the centre of the fountain's base to collect coins for good luck. At night, the fountain is the setting for laser performances, as well as live song and laser message dedications between 8pm to 9pm daily.[2] It is situated in such a way the fountain is the hub of the shopping mall.

The Esplanade is a waterfront location just north of the mouth of the Singapore River in downtown Singapore. It is primarily occupied by the Esplanade Park, and was the venue where one of Singapore's largest congregation of satay outlets until their relocation to Clarke Quay as a result of the construction of a major performance arts venue, the Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay, which took its name from this location.

Raffles Hotel is a colonial-style hotel in Singapore. It was established by two Armenian brothers from Persia—Martin and Tigran Sarkies—in 1887. In later years they were joined by younger brothers Aviet and Arshak and kinsman Martyrose Arathoon. With their innovative cuisine and extensive modernisations, the firm built the hotel into Singapore's best known icon. It was named after Stamford Raffles, the founder of modern Singapore, whose statue had been unveiled in 1887. The hotel is currently managed by Fairmont Raffles Hotels International and houses a tropical garden courtyard, museum, and Victorian-style theatre.

NANAY PRUDENs SEND OFF PARTY

Send off. Its a usual thing in the family since majority of the members are out of the country. This time nanay pruden was hosting the party for us since we are about to go back to manila the next day. We were almost complete except for some members who were unable to come.
We started with a quiet dinner, then chitchat and drinks on the side. My cousins set up the karaoke. We listened to their voices, we listened to the waray songs, we danced to the music. Everybody was having fun except nanay pruden. I could sense the sadness in her eyes while she watches us. She was right there in the center with a blank stare with what was going on in the room. We started offering songs for her. From kuya Yon toEric to Brett, kuya Steve, kuya Bebot, rosel, mana lina, mana sabel, ate wenai etc
But the most touching part is when the baldado boys (papa and uncle agus) sang the baldado anthem -pagkaurosa. We were all around them dead quiet. All I could hear were the voices of my papa and uncle agus. My tears started to flow while I watched them. I was moved because I have seen how the baldado boys loved nanay Pruden. I was so moved because I have the feeling that I may never see such scene again. And then it was nanays turn to sing her song, She sang all her favorite waray songs. We sang with her, we praised her. She liked it cause she always wanted to be praise.

But night has to end. It was time for nanay Pruden to rest. I remember each one of us kissing her goodnight. When it was my turn, I hugged her tightly hoping she could feel the love I have for her.

It was sad kissing her goodbye. I will miss you nanay.

I will miss your laughter whenever papa makes joke you. I will miss the funny experiences we had, the funny stories about you. I will miss the Sunday breakfast in your home after the mass, I will miss your "isug". I will miss buying "daster" for you, I will miss the long prayers, but most of all I will miss your love, your love that kept this family together. You will be forever in our hearts nanay Pruden.

Your send off party? It was cool except you didn't tell us you are going too.
Bye nanay Pruden, I love you.

malaysia

Kuala Lumpur City Centre is a multipurpose development area in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The area is located around Jalan Ampang, Jalan P. Ramlee, Jalan Binjai, Jalan Kia Peng and Jalan Pinang.
Designed to be a city within a city, the 100-acre site hosts the tallest twin buildings in the world, shopping mall, hotels, office buildings and several hotels. A public park and a mosque is also built on the area and open to everyone. The whole project is cooled via district cooling located on the property.

History

Kuala Lumpur City Centre was officially building of construction on 1 January 1995 based in Petronas Towers.
Kuala Lumpur City Centre was officially completed on 1 January 1996 based in Petronas Towers.
Kuala Lumpur City Centre was officially renovated on 1 January 1997 based in Petronas Towers.
Kuala Lumpur City Centre was officially opened to public on 1 January 1998 based in Petronas Towers.
Kuala Lumpur City Centre was officially inaugurated by the 4th Prime Minister of Malaysia's Tun Doktor Mahathir Bin Mohamad on National Day of Malaysia (31 August) in 1999 at 8:30 pm based in Petronas Towers.

The Petronas Towers, also known as the Petronas Twin Towers (Malay: Menara Petronas, or Menara Berkembar Petronas) are twin skyscrapers in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the CTBUH's official definition and ranking, they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until surpassed by Taipei 101, but they remain the tallest twin building in the world.[2] The buildings are the landmark of Kuala Lumpur

Skybridge

The towers feature a double decker skybridge connecting the two towers on the 41st and 42nd floors, which is the highest 2-story bridge in the world.[25] It is not attached to the main structure, but is instead designed to slide in and out of the towers to prevent it from breaking,[26] as the towers sway several feet[specify] in towards and away from each other during high winds. It also provides some structural support to the towers in these occasions. The bridge is 170 m (558 ft) above the ground and 58 m (190 ft) long, weighing 750 tons.[27] The same floor is also known as the podium, since visitors going to higher levels have to change elevators here. The skybridge is open to all visitors, but tickets are limited to about 1000 people per day, and must be obtained on a first-come, first-served basis. Initially, the visit was free but in 2010, the tickets started being sold by Petronas. Visitors can choose to opt for package one which is just a visit to the skybridge or go for package two to go to the skybridge and all the way to level 86.[28] Visitors are only allowed on the 41st floor as the 42nd floor can only be used by the tenants of the building.[29]
The skybridge also acts as a safety device, so that in the event of a fire or other emergency in one tower, tenants can evacuate by crossing the skybridge to the other tower.[30] The total evacuation triggered by a bomb hoax on 12 September 2001 (the day after the September 11 attacks destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City) showed that the bridge would not be useful if both towers need to be emptied simultaneously, as the capacity of the staircases was insufficient for such an event.[31] Plans thus call for the lifts to be used if both towers need to be evacuated, and a successful drill following the revised plan was conducted in 2005.
There is a three-hinged arch that supports the skybridge with arch legs, each 51 metres (167 ft) long, that are bolted to level 29 of each of the towers.[22] After being constructed on the ground, the skybridge was lifted into place on the towers over a period of three days[EBSCO 1] in July 1995[22] but instead of being directly connected to the towers, the skybridge can shift or slide in and out of them in order to counterbalance any effect from the wind. In addition to being a cornerstone in the structural stability of the towers, the skybridge is also a device that can be employed during an emergency fire evacuation, providing an escape to the people in the upper floors of the affected tower to the other.[EBSCO 3] Residing on the 41st and 42nd floors, the skybridge connects a conference room, an executive dining room and a prayer room.[EBSCO 1]

PAPA AND MAMAs2006 homecoming

August of 2006 me and my family went on vacation to Sulat. This is another homecoming for Papa and Mama who are based now in US.  Nadine and her husband Brett joined us. This was the first time for Brett in Sulat. We rested for a while after we arrived, and when the sun was about to set we decided for a boat ride to tabok for a night swim.

There were lots of parties to go to. There was the luyang beach party hosted by uncle Jimmy and auntie Angie. All the relatives and lots of friends came over. The folks enjoyed the kura kuracha, the dancing til the wee hours, good food and the beach.

We were invited too for a boat trip by uncle Agus and auntie Dayday. Long and very exciting trip. We got rained in the middle of the sea but it was an experience. We hopped from one island to another. Lunch time was in Makati island a resort owned by ate Elvie. On our we back we opted for the other route which is the open sea of the pacific. As we are about to approach Agawan island we saw this huge rock in the middle of sea, out of curiosity we hopped by and take the dip in the area. A bit of info, you will get the chance to see that huge rock formation during low tide.

The send off party was hosted by nanay Pruden in her residence. The usual karaoke, dancing, the chitchats but then again it was fun, it always feel good to be with the rest of the family and friends.

It was a short vacation. I knew Brett had a blast. So am I and for sure for the rest of the family too.
