for papa

he is a man of few words
he speaks only when his opinion is needed
but when he does, the crowd listens in awe
he is in authority, he strucks them and he is respected

his decision is powerful the people follows
he knows what is right thus initiate it
his wisdom is vast it must be from God
he lets his people know and so they gain

he exudes with compassion and kindness
anytime anywhere he can be counted
he is a fellow who went through life miseries
he, that is why symphathetic to peoples needs

he is an ally they may be rich or poor
he does not judge a person at all

he is a pleasing personality very adorable

he is well loved by his people

he is strike by those who envy him

he stands with confidence they cannot down him

he is patient to those who condemns

he is controlled nobody disputes him

he faces problems that come his way

he takes all these as challenges to overcome

he is compose and not shaken

from the peoples pressure that is laid on him

he is a leader they trusted him

he is our papa we are proud of him

he will be gone but will remain

in the heart of the people

whose lives were touched by him.

(words are not enough to describe how good as a person my papa is..sometimes i would listen observes and watch him not as his daughter but from other persons perspective..listen to what he says like his friends does, observes, like how people who comes to our house might been watching him.. or just living or at least trying to live with the advices taught by him..daughter or not..i will still get the same impression..he is a character..a good character.. I am so proud of having u as my papa and thank you for imparting to us so much that will serve as guides throughout this life)

GRANDE ISLAND RESORT

 

With nothing much to do during my auntie Memas last few days in her Manila stay, we decided to take on a long road trip to Baguio.  Our first stop, Subic freeport. We heard of Grande Island Resort in Subic so that is our first destination. It is in the middle of the Subic bay waters and will take  about half an hour to reach the resort. The resort is a haven paradise, upon reaching the place, the blue clear waters and the white sand caught my attention. Then as I explore the place it was noticeably that the island is like enveloped with century old trees like an untouched nature sanctuary. It is not though, there were some facilities for the guests to enjoy in the area.  Like they have this enormous pool in the middle of the island. Then there are chalets lined up along the beach front.
There are activities to engage in, while in the island too. Of course you can try water activities like snorkeling, para-sailing, jet skiing and more. You can also go for a trail hike around the island and see some remnants of the world war II. I have seen bomb launchers in the area. We also tried crossing to Chikita Island.  This you be able to do only when it is low tide. We tried the KTVs too as we explore the place.
                                                                              Our night time was spent by an early dinner. Then after a short rest, we went for the pool.  We did not spend much time on the pool because it was freezing and besides we also have an appointment for our room service spa.

It was just a one day stay in the resort, but we maximize our stay and tried to enjoy what it has to offer. Before leaving the island we also tried their pastries and coffee in the port.  Another thing that makes this trip unforgettable when the captain of the boat allowed me to maneuver the boat for few mins.                                                         So after Subic, we are heeding for our next stop, we thought of food trip in Isdaan, Tarlac. Fun!

weekend long drive

first stop: grande island(subic freeport)

Grande Island is a tourism island estate located in Subic Bay, Philippines. It houses the Grand Island Resort, a property that is operated by GFTG Property Holdings Corporation.
It has a total land area is 40 hectares, of which 14.2 hectares are being developed as a world-class resort location. The remaining 25.8 hectares are forest areas. The island is accessible by ferry and is approximately 20 to 30 minutes away from the Subic Bay mainland.

next stop:baguio city

The City of Baguio is a 1st class highly urbanized city in northern Luzon in the Philippines. Baguio City was established by Americans in 1900 and was designated by the Philippine Commission as the Summer Capital of the Philippines on June 1, 1903. The name of the city is derived from the word bagiw in Ibaloi, the indigenous language of the Benguet Region, meaning 'moss'. The city is at an altitude of approximately 5100 ft in a moist tropical pine forest conducive to the growth of mossy plants and orchids.

last stop: isdaan(gerona,tarlac)

Isdaan is located in gerona tarlac. If u are travelling north it would be impossible not to notice the restaurant with its giant sculptures of fish and other structures along way. Besides the authentic filipino food and the fresh seafoods they offer, the unique design of the place is another reason why it is worth to visit. Dining experience could be in a normal table setting or they also have floating nipa huts connected by bamboo bridges, and fishes in the water in between the huts are nice to watch while eating or you could also listen to the waiters as they serenade you. At the back is a small theme park like space with more sculptures, nice fountains and landscapes. Also, kids could bike and play around the place. Another interesting u could do in the place is the tacsiyapo. This is some sort of stress releasing activity wherein u could throw plates and even larger items like tv on the wall. So if u have grudges just shout tacsiyapo and throw the plates on the wall.Relieved? not sure of that. By the way, each breakable items has its corresponding price too.
